They have powerful jaws for creatures of their size and noticeable claws on their hands and feet. Kobolds' thick hides vary in color, and most have scales that match the hue of one of the varieties of chromatic dragons, with red scales being predominant. Age. Kobolds reach adulthood at age 6 and can live up to 120 years.
Alignment. As scholars, Kobolds are neutral, but their reliance on the strength of their group makes them trend toward law.
Size. Kobolds are between 2 and 3 feet tall and weigh between 25 and 35 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Magical Linguist. Kobolds gain a +1 bonus to the DC of spells they cast that have the language-dependent descriptor or that create glyphs, symbols, or other magical writings. They also gain advantage on saving throws against such spells.
Shards of the Past. Kobolds share genetic memories with their ancestors that grant them insight and knowledge. Pick one Intelligence skill. You have proficiency with that skill.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic.
