Talk:Mandalgov

Are we sure we want 50 years between the attack of Ghrekhan and the end of the war?

Also, do we want Dornod Mulgo to be the leader of the dwarves and lead the allied army? I like this idea, but it means I'm uncertain about his creating the Orbs of Dragonkind. Maybe he discovered them or had his dwarves make them for him to use?

I do like the idea that Matt (?) proposed about having used all the other Orbs to capture the other colors of dragons to allow them to capture the gold dragon Mandalgov.

Plus, let's give these armies names and maybe a better name for the war itself.

I'm not opposed to the Idea of a 50 year war. Imagine trying to lay siege to an underground mountain base. The initial taking of the city of Grekhan will take some time. After the destruction of Grekhan, the armies of Mandalgov have to regroup and navigate the mountains south towards the next closest Dwarven settlement. Perhaps the United Armies of the Peoples(?) took some time to form, alliances needed to be signed and treaties arranged. Also consider the time it would take to research and make the Orb of Gold Dragonkind. First you have to design and make the lesser Orbs at the True Forge. Then each orb is filled with a dragon's soul (insert epic side quests here) and brought back to Dhurkot where they are used to forge the final Orb. Then the Orb is carried to the front lines by Dornod and used against Mandalgov in a mighty battle. Just the Logistics of overland troop movement and having to stop for the winter and coordinate food supply chains. Large scale medieval ground warfare's just gonna take some time. --Wintermute27 (talk) 10:07, 19 November 2014 (PST)
Perhaps we can have the Avatar Faelar lead the United Armies of the Peoples(?) in Dornod Mulgo's absence. --Wintermute27 (talk) 10:23, 19 November 2014 (PST)
